Description
Cold rolled coil is made of hot rolled coil and rolled at room temperature below the recrystallization temperature. It includes plates and coils. The ones delivered in sheets are called steel plates, also called box plates or flat plates; the ones delivered in long lengths in coils are called steel strips, also called coils.
Silicon Steel Coil and Strip
Grain-oriented silicon steel coil and strip is a kind of special-purpose steel. The silicon content is 2.9~3.3% and the carbon content is less than 0.08%. The thickness of the steel plate is generally 0.03mm, 0.05mm and 0.10mm. It has the characteristics of high permeability, low coercivity, and high resistivity, so hysteresis loss and eddy current loss are small. Mainly used in pulse transformers, magnetic amplifiers, high frequency transformers and electric welding machines.
