In October 2025, crude steel production in the 70 countries/regions included in the World Steel Association's statistics totaled 143.3 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.9%.

In October 2025, crude steel production in Africa was 2 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.8%; Asia and Oceania, 102.4 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 8.2%; the European Union (27 countries), 10.8 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.5%; other European countries, 3.6 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.8%; the Middle East, 5.4 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.2%; North America, 9.1 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%; Russia and other CIS countries + Ukraine, 6.4 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.1%; and South America, 3.7 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.1%.
The data submitted by these 70 countries/regions accounted for approximately 98% of global crude steel production in 2024.

In October 2025, China's crude steel production was 72 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 12.1%; India's crude steel production was 13.6 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.9%; the United States' crude steel production was 7 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%; Japan's crude steel production was 6.9 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.0%; Russia's estimated crude steel production was 5.3 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.2%; South Korea's crude steel production was 5.1 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.8%; Turkey's crude steel production was 3.2 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%; Germany's crude steel production was 3.1 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.0%; Brazil's crude steel production was 3 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.7%; Iran's crude steel production was 3.3 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.0%.
